In 1973, an addition was added to the south of the existing building. In 1983, a major addition was added to the north. Our current collection exists of 53,000 adult and children's books, 4200 videocassettes, plus audio cassettes and music compact discs. The library automated in 1995, using the Gaylord Automated System. In September of 2003, the library upgraded its automation system to Polaris. An addition to the adult nonfiction area was added in 2004 which was made possible by donations from the children of former library director Miriam Rader and members of the community. This allowed the library to add much needed space to the nonfiction area and to expand the local history area. This area was appropriately named the Miriam Rader Legacy Addition. |
